Waterfront Specialist

On a personal note:

I was raised in Norton Shores (MSHS class of ’77) , lived in N Muskegon 16 years and now on a 20 acre hobby farm in Muskegon Township. Our waterfront is a one acre spring fed pond filled with fish surrounded by wildlife, 3 crazy roosters and 15 free ranging hens. Added Spring 2017: 2 Khaki Campbell ducks, 2 Blue Indian Runner ducks and 3 more chicks!  They are a lot of fun and always are good for a laugh after a busy work day.

Growing up in Norton Shores along the Mona Lake Shoreline, I spent a lot of time in and on the water. Friends and I sailed, water skied, hiked our beaches and swam for hours in the big lake. My first job was at Hoffmaster Park followed by life guarding on Mona Lake and teaching swimming college summers at the Muskegon Yacht Club. I am still an avid swimmer and also enjoy: gardening, hiking, xc-skiing, farm projects, travel, music and reading.

I feel privileged to be introducing prospective buyers to some of the most gorgeous shoreline in the world and also passionate about supporting organizations that are conserving our water quality, wildlife habitant and dune integrity. If you are interested in protecting our natural resources, as a member of the Land Conservancy of West Michigan, I would be happy to discuss the benefits of conservation easements.

I have been a Realtor since 1987 and experienced the many changes in our industry.  I fully embrace the new technology and the impact it is having on how real estate is bought and sold.  Promoting seller’s properties and prospecting for buyers on-line is now done 24/7. The substantial advertising investment I have made in Zillow and Trulia, the two largest real estate website portals in the world, creates many new business opportunities. I am excited for the 2017 Waterfront selling season, as I have recently partnered with 18th Hour Productions.  Jason O’Brien meets current FAA licensing regulations and will be taking aerial photo shoots for my sellers with his drone.

Since changing the focus of my career to the waterfront in 2012, the majority of my sales have  involved waterfront properties, but I do still market and sell non-waterfront properties. As a Realtor for Nexes Realty, in addition to representing sellers, I represent buyers looking for cottages on inland lakes and Lake Michigan properties between Grand Haven & Pentwater.

I earned a B.S. degree from MSU in chemistry/ biology and previously worked in the medical field.  My analytical bent can be beneficial to my clients, as the sale of  Lake Michigan properties can get complicated and be time consuming with the added detail of DEQ regulations. I would describe myself as: down to earth, patient, reserved, unflappable and hard-working.

I would love the opportunity to go to work for you!
